Pokémon Scavenger Hunt at Space Expo Noordwijk (3–31 October 2026)
3 October – 10:00 – 31 October – 17:00
From 3 to 31 October 2026, space museum Space Expo in Noordwijk turns into a real Pokémon space mission. Ten little Pikachus are hiding among the rockets, satellites and spacesuits. Children up to and including 12 years old set off with a scavenger hunt card and earn a small prize when they find all ten. The hunt is included with a regular ticket and coincides with the Dutch autumn school holidays: a perfect family day out on the coast, between Amsterdam and The Hague.
Pokémon x ESA x Space Expo
The Pokémon activities at Space Expo are part of the collaboration between ESA (European Space Agency) and The Pokémon Company International around World Space Week. Spaceflight and Pokémon come together to introduce children and adults to space and science in a playful way.
Pikachu already has real space experience: Astronaut Pikachu travelled to the International Space Station (ISS), stayed there for 67 days and circled the Earth about 1,040 times. Now a new mission awaits in Noordwijk, right next to ESA/ESTEC, ESA’s largest technical centre in Europe.
How the Pokémon scavenger hunt works
- Pick up your scavenger hunt card at the Space Expo front desk when you arrive.
- Search for the ten little Pikachu figures. They are hidden near different space objects in the exhibition, so look carefully.
- Tick off on your card where you found each Pikachu.
- Spotted all ten? Hand in your completed card at the front desk and receive a small prize.
Please note: the Pikachus stay in place in the exhibition so that every child can find them. The hunt is designed for children up to and including 12 years old, but the whole family is welcome to join in.
Play Pokémon GO at Space Expo (from 4 October)
From Sunday 4 October there is even more to enjoy: play Pokémon GO at Space Expo and you may encounter Astronaut Pikachu, complete with a special Location Card background. Bring your phone and check the app during your visit.
Pokémon merchandise in the museum shop
Want to take a piece of Pokémon home after your space mission? From 3 October, special Pokémon merchandise is available in the Space Expo museum shop. Be sure to have a look at the end of your visit.

Not as far as we know. Space Expo, ESA and The Pokémon Company have not announced any special Pokémon card or promo card for the World Space Week collaboration. The Euro Space Center in Belgium, which also takes part in the Pokémon x ESA collaboration, explicitly states in its FAQ that no collaboration involving Pokémon cards is planned. What is available: special ESA products via the Pokémon Center, such as Astronaut Pikachu plush, a bomber jacket and Pokémon TCG accessories (like sleeves) with ESA artwork, plus Pokémon merchandise in the Space Expo museum shop. We will update this page if anything changes.
