DESCRIPTION:Many gems in the Bollenstreek are also open on the national Heritage Day. Different organizations are involved in the activities on this national day per village. Below we show per municipality which activities can be done on Saturday\, September 14\, 2019. We expect to be able to publish the complete offer on this website at the end of August. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHeritage Day in Lisse\n\n\n\nOn Saturday 14 September 2019\, several colorful monuments in Lisse will open their doors to the public. A wide range of historic buildings passes by. From churches to monasteries and from bulb villas to old farms. The residents of these buildings will introduce you to the rich history of each monument. All monuments are free of charge! \n\n\n\nThere are also fun activities for young and old! For example\, come and bake sandwiches in t’Huys Dever. Or play the European flag quiz in Buurthuis Salvatori\, Huys Dever or in the Grote Kerk. With the chance of European prizes! \n\n\n\nKeukenhof Castle\n\n\n\nIn the Castle Gardens of Keukenhof Castle there is a lot to do during the Heritage Day. The ground floor and the first floor of the castle can be visited on 14 September. Suppoost tell about the rich history\, architecture\, design and the hidden stories of the castle. \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nHeritage Day in Noordwijkerhout\n\n\n\nOn Saturday\, September 14\, 2019\, the municipality of Noordwijkerhout organizes\, in collaboration with the Open Monument Day Committee\, Noordwijkerhout Open Monument Day. You can do this through two walking routes\, but also a cycling route. The children have also been thought of\, among other things they can get to work with a building plate of the White Church and a nice coloring page. \n\n\n\nYou can pick up the information booklet\, including the program and routes\, on Saturday 14 September at De Witte Kerk\, the tourist office\, Museum NoVaTo\, De Heilige Hart Kerk or Fietsverhuur Van Dam. \n\n\n\nThe Noordwijkerhout Open Monument Day Committee wishes you a nice day in which you can enjoy all the wonderful things Noordwijkerhout has to offer and discover places you would otherwise not visit. \n\n\n\nThe following monuments have been opened: \n\n\n\nDe Witte Kerk\, Gemeentehuis Noordwijkerhout\, museum NoVaTo\, Kiwikids\, Café Van der Geest\, VVV-kantoor\, Sint Antoniushof 1-16\, Hoogeveense Molen\, De Vonk\, Victorkerk\, Sint Jozefkerk\, Heilige Hart Kerk. \n\n\n\nHeritage Day Noordwijk\n\n\n\nThe municipality of Noordwijk in South Holland has a rich history that goes back to the beginning of our era. The traces of that rich past can still be found in today’s Noordwijk. Heritage Day\, which we have been participating in for more than 30 years\, offers a good opportunity to visit our Noordwijk. You will be amazed! \n\n\n\nHeritage Day in Katwijk\n\n\n\nVarious locations in Katwijk\, Rijnsburg and Valkenburg will open their doors to the public (free of charge) on 14 September. Go on a discovery tour and take a look behind the front door of\, for example\, the lighthouse\, De Geregtigheid windmill\, the Oud Valkenburg museum\, the Spinoza house and the Prince Willem-Alexander steam pumping station.
