Naturalis Leiden

The Naturalis museum in Leiden is a combination of seeing, doing and experiencing. In the museum galleries, you will discover everything about the earliest life on earth, about the Netherlands during the Ice Age and about the primal forces of our planet. You will learn about the most surprising decorative tricks of plants and animals, come face to face with an African elephant and discover the destructive power of volcanoes. And come face to face with the T. rex Trix!

The new Naturalis immerses young and old in the wonderful world called nature. Go on a journey of discovery with your whole family in the new exhibition halls filled with the most beautiful in nature. The T. rex Trix dino is of course present and Freek Vonk is also present again.

Experience nature at Naturalis Leiden

The stories in Naturalis are told on the basis of masterpieces from the collection of 42 million plants, animals, fossils and stones.
