Keukenhof Gardens is open in 2020 from March 21 to May 10. The flower park in 2020 will focus on the theme “A world of colors”.

Keukenhof, the spring garden of Holland

Keukenhof Gardens in Lisse is the largest tulip garden in the world with more than seven million flower bulbs that are planted every season. It is one of the most beautiful attractions in the Netherlands, attracting many foreign tourists. Keukenhof is only open 8 weeks a year and attracts more than a million visitors in that short time. The colorful flower fields around the spring garden are full of beautiful flowering spring flowers such as crocuses, daffodils, tulips and hyacinths.

The 15-kilometer hiking trails of the Keukenhof are laid out in such a way that you have a spectacular view of the fragrant flower gardens and flower greenhouses. During your walk you will see unique, weekly changing flower shows, beautiful ponds and various pavilions with restaurants and terraces. In addition to the beautiful flower gardens, Keukenhof is also home to the largest sculpture park in the Netherlands. You can admire here many images made by national and international artists.

There is also a nice treasure hunt through the park where children also learn something about flower bulbs. The children’s farm and a nice maze also make the flower park an ideal family outing.

Keukenhof opening times in 2020

The flower garden is open from March 21 to May 10, 2020. Every day the park opens at 8:00 am and closes at 7:30 pm. It is advisable to visit the park in the early morning or during closing time. Often the light is the most beautiful and it is also quieter in the park.

Price Keukenhof ticket in 2020

The price for a Keukenhof ticket is age dependent. It is advisable to purchase your ticket in advance so that you do not have to stand in line at the cash register. In addition to a Keukenhof ticket, you can also buy your parking ticket online. That way you can enjoy the blooming flowers even longer.

Keukenhof Gardens is located near many historical cities in Holland. To travel to Keukenhof you have to make a choice how you prefer to travel. You can choose from:

Travel to Keukenhof by car

The flower park is located between Amsterdam and The Hague and is easily accessible via the A4 (exit Nieuw-Vennep) and the A44 (exit 3 Lisse). Follow the ‘Keukenhof’ signs. You can park (buy your parking ticket online for only € 6.00) in the parking lot.

Parking at Keukenhof

The flower park is easily accessible by car, train and bus. There is a large parking area with many parking spaces in front of the park entrance. Buy your parking ticket online and you pay € 6.00 for a day ticket. An additional advantage is that you do not have to stand in line for a parking ticket.

Travel with the Keukenhof bus

Keukenhof is also very well served by public transport. There are special buses that go directly to the flower park. There are also special combi tickets so that you can travel cheaply from Amsterdam, Schiphol, Haarlem and Leiden. With the combi-tickets you get a return bus ticket and entrance to the flower park. Order your combi-ticket online to avoid the queues at the points of sale.

Keukenhof itself consists exclusively of hiking trails, but during a Keukenhof sightseeing tour along the flower fields around the flower garden you can enjoy the Dutch flowers the best. There are various sightseeing tours available. Depending on your preference you can choose from a bike tour, a Renault Twizy tour, an electric scooter tour and even a helicopter flight.
