Visit Keukenhof with children
In Keukenhof, more than 7 million bulbs are in bloom every spring, including over 800 different varieties of tulips. This makes it a unique and unforgettable experience and a real surprise for young and old alike. Besides the flowers, Keukenhof also has many fun children’s attractionss. Of course, there are no roller coasters but children have a great time in the Miffy playground and the natural playground with adventurous play equipment. There is a maze and a petting zoo where children can meet lambs, goats, pot-bellied pigs and other animals.

The story of the tulip is impressive. Bulbs that were worth their weight in gold, theft and a mountain dweller who felt at home in the Dutch climate. But there is also the story of the black tulip and celebrities who got their own tulip. These stories can be found in the fun-filled exhibition Tulpomania in the Juliana Pavilion. At Tulpomania, you can also christen your own tulip, see how tulips are grown and get tips and advice from the experts on how to use flower bulbs in your own garden
At Keukenhof, you can also free of charge pick up a fun scavenger hunt at the information desk. With this, children learn a lot about flowers and plants.

A day at Keukenhof is also inexpensive. There are no family tickets but there is a significantly lower entrance fee for children, making a visit to the flower park advantageous.

Biking in surroundings among flower fields
A visit to Keukenhof is perfectly combinable with a bike ride along the flower fields. You can then really enjoy the brilliant colours of tulips, hyacinths and daffodils in the Bulb Region. The simple cycling junction system makes it easy to ride your bike route. One of the fun cycle routes is the Keukenhof cycle route. There are four different distances from 5 km to 25 km.

Taking the car to the flowers
The flower park is easily reached via A4 (Nieuw-Vennep exit) and A44 (exit 3 Lisse). You then follow signs ‘Keukenhof’.
If you come to Keukenhof and its flower fields by car, you can park at Keukenhof very easily and inexpensively. There is a large car park where you can buy a day ticket for just €10.00. By buying your ticket online, you avoid long waits at the ticket office.
By public transport to Keukenhof
From March 21 to May 12, 2024, non-stop Arriva buses will run from Schiphol Station, Leiden CS Station and Haarlem CS Station directly to and from the flower park.
You ll be able to buy a so-called Combi ticket for this. With this Combi-ticket you can use the special bus line. It is also your entrance ticket for Keukenhof. A Combi-ticket can be used on a day of your choice within the season. A Combi-ticket for adults from Amsterdam costs €36.50; from Schiphol, Leiden and Haarlem €31.50.
