Castlefest Fantasy festival 2025 – Keukenhof
31 July – 10:00 – 3 August – 20:00

Imagine yourself in a completely different world at Castlefest, the fantasy festival of the Netherlands. At the beginning of August, the castle gardens of Keukenhof transform into a party for young and old, where you step into another world as soon as you pass through the gates. Castlefest is a total experience with lots of music, fantasy writers, catering in style, medieval crafts and a large market with everything the Fantasy lover is looking for.
A large number of bands will perform on the various festival stages, from Pagan Folk to World music, from Medieval Rock to Indie. In short, there is something for every music lover!
Castlefest is characterised by its special atmosphere. This makes regular visitors look forward to the next edition a year in advance. It creates a feeling of being in a completely different world for a few days, which makes you feel homesick for the festival in the weeks that follow.
The Castlefest feeling is not easy to describe, but something you have to experience for yourself. The annual highlight of the festival is the Wickerman burning. Together with visitors, exhibitors, caterers and the organisation, you live up to the moment that the Wickerman is lit. The energy that is released at that moment is a special experience that should not be missed.

Frequently asked questions FAQs Castlefest
As every year, you will not be allowed to bring food and drink to Castlefest. Now we will absolutely not whine about a few sandwiches and a bottle of drink, but whole cooler bags full of food and drink, crates and trays of beer will not be allowed. Other forms of alcohol will also be taken. The latter has to do with regulations and our catering licence. So we will not be as tight as, say, a Lowlands, but we have to enforce these rules. We hope for your understanding.
No, you don’t have to pay for your bike.
Dogs – if leashed – are allowed on the grounds.
In the interest of animal welfare, other animals are not allowed at Castlefest.
The paths on the Keukenhof estate are often easily accessible for people in wheelchairs. In addition, the stands are equipped with a ramp and a disabled toilet is available. Some dedicated parking spaces are available.
During the event, limited cash can be withdrawn at the box offices. This is allowed after about 12pm as long as there is enough cash available at the box offices. Please note: Pin and Maestro/V PAY only.
