It is sometimes difficult to find a parking space in Noordwijk on weekends and summer days. That is why the municipality of Noordwijk has a free service with which you can park for free and travel with a shuttle bus to the beach for free. Below you will find the frequently asked questions.
Is there free parking anywhere in Noordwijk?
Yes, every summer the Municipality of Noordwijk organizes a free beach shuttle bus that takes you from a free car park in Noordwijk to the beach. Both parking and bus are free.
When does the shuttle bus run to the beach?
From July 3 to September 5, 2021, the shuttle bus runs to the beach every weekend (Saturday and Sunday). The shuttle bus is also often available on weekdays with nice beach weather.
The Beach Shuttle runs continuously in a ‘loop’ from 10:00 to 19:00. The bus passes all stops three times an hour. Adjusted driving times apply for large events.
Do you want to stay longer? Then after 19:00 you can use the special taxi service from Taxi Brouwer. The taxi will take you back to your car in parking lot P1 for only € 9.00. Taxi Brouwer’s telephone number is +31 (0) 71 3611000

The shuttle bus to the beach has 3 stops.
P1 Gooweg car park in Noordwijk (free parking)
The free shuttle bus to the beach runs from the parking lot at the junction Gooweg / N444 in Noordwijk. The entrance is on the Gooweg near the bus stop.
This parking lot is about 2 kilometers away from the boulevard of Noordwijk.

Stop at Vuurtorenplein Noordwijk Beach
The first stop is at the Lighthouse square on the north side of the boulevard in Noordwijk. From this stop you can walk straight to the beach. From this stop you can easily go to the following beach bars:
Stop at Palaceplein Noordwijk Beach
The second stop on the boulevard of Noordwijk is Palaceplein. From this stop you can easily go to the following beach bars:
- Strandpaviljoen Van Roon
- Nomade Beach House
- Alexander Beach Club
- Breakers Beach House (Hotel Huis ter Duin)
You can also walk from this stop to the pleasant shopping center of Noordwijk aan Zee.
Are there extra Corona measures?
Yes, in connection with the applicable RIVM guidelines, it is mandatory to wear a face mask on the bus. As soon as you enter the bus you get a free mask so that everyone can safely use the beach shuttle. The mask is only mandatory on the bus.
